The National Cooperative Consumers’ Education (NCCE), a division of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), commenced its first-ever 3-day Leadership Development Program (LDP) for Chairpersons and Directors of Labour Cooperatives across India.
The inauguration took place at NCCE headquarters in New Delhi, attracting 48 cooperative representatives from diverse states. The event kicked off with an insightful session led by Rajeev Sharma, Executive Director of NCUI, shedding light on the organization’s recent initiatives and delving into the core principles of cooperative philosophy.
Dr. VK Dubey, Advisor at NCUI, followed with an engaging discourse on the challenges faced by Labour Cooperatives, offering effective strategies for mitigation. An exclusive session on Financial Management and Accounting, including an in-depth analysis of taxation policies such as GST pertinent to labour cooperatives, was conducted by Anurag, Assistant Director (Finance) at NCUI.
The session proved instrumental in equipping participants with practical knowledge. Dipti Yadav, Assistant Director at NCUI, extended a warm welcome to the attendees during the opening ceremony, providing them with an overview of the program’s curriculum and objectives.
The LDP concluded on May 1, 2024, promising to equip cooperative leaders with the necessary skills and insights to navigate contemporary challenges effectively.
