In a bid to ramp up voter participation in the forthcoming Lok Sabha general elections on May 7 in Gujarat, the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF) – AMUL and Dudhsagar Dairy have unveiled innovative incentives for milk producers who cast their ballots.
Shamalbhai B Patel, Chairman of GCMMF, revealed that milk producers would be rewarded with one rupee per liter of milk if they present the voter ink mark on their fingers on polling day. The announcement, made during the Sahakar Sammelan in Amreli, is set to benefit all milk producers affiliated with GCMMF.
Following suit, Ashok Chaudhary, Chairman of Dudhsagar Dairy in Mehsana, disclosed a similar initiative aimed at fostering voter awareness and engagement.
The move underscores a concerted effort by dairy cooperatives to encourage civic participation and elevate voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
