Inaugurating the ‘National Cooperative Database’ on Friday at the ICAR, Pune, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah lauded the role of National Cooperation Union of India (NCUI) in particular and cooperatives around the country in general in completing the database.
“Under the aegis of NCUI, the state cooperative unions of different states and district registrars under the guidance of state cooperative registrars of states played a very important role in making the authentic database”, he said.
Shah added, “We had placed the idea of making the National Cooperative Database during the first cooperative event organized by IFFCO and after over two years we are gathered here to release the database, which will surely help in the expansion of the cooperative sector”.
The Union Cooperation Minister said, “Out of 54 initiatives launched by the Ministry of Cooperation all has been fulfilled except the National Cooperative Policy”, Amit Shah mentioned.
