Aiming to take states’ co-ops onboard and at the same wavelength with that of the Centre, the Union Cooperation Ministry had launched review meetings with states’ representatives in the past.
Today, that is on 12th October, the second review meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Gyanesh Kumar, Secretary, Union Ministry of Cooperation at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi in physical mode. The meetings with different states are spread from 12th to 20th October 2023.
In today’s meeting, among others, the MDs of state cooperative banks of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat have been invited.
Whereas, in the meeting that will take place on 13th October 2023, among others, the MDs of state cooperative banks of Bihar, West Bengal, Punjab, Haryana, Assam and Kerala have been invited.
The other meeting takes place on 16th October, 17th October and 20th October 2023. Every state will be given half an hour time. Registrar of Cooperative Societies and officer in charge, Nabard regional office of respective states/UTs are also invited.
Due to the announcement of elections, the five states Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram are not being invited, says a Ministry official.
