BJP leader Prem Singh Shakya has been elected as the new Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Rajya Nirman Sahkari Sangh (PACSFED), in an election held on Monday.
It bears recall that Shakya fought the Lok Sabha election from Mainpuri (UP) against the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh late Mulayam Singh Yadav in 2019.
Alok Kumar Singh was elected again as the Vice-Chairman of the federation. The majority of board members are newcomers.
Meanwhile, Sahakar Bharati Uttar Pradesh Chapter General Secretary Praveen Singh Jadaun has been appointed as the government nominee by the state government.
As soon as the names of top functionaries were announced, Facebook and ‘X’ were flooded with congratulatory messages.
The PACSFED is engaged in various types of construction activities in the state.
