Vishwas Thakur has been re-elected unopposed as the President of Nashik District Urban Cooperative Banks Association, in an election held on Thursday.
Whereas, Mahendra Bora of Vani Merchants Cooperative Bank was elected as the working president and Rajesh Bhandge of Yeola Merchant Cooperative Bank was elected as the Vice-President of the Nashik UCBs association.
During the election, the board members including Maharashtra Urban Cooperative Banks Federation Ajay Bramhecha, Sahakar Bharati Maharashtra Chapter Chairman Shashitai Ahire, Nashik Merchants Coop Bank Hemant Dhatrak, Business Cooperative Bank Director Ashok T. Tapdiya were present.
Nashik District Urban Cooperative Banks association is planning to organize a state level conference in collaboration with association of 18 UCBs of the state. It will be a three-day conference to be organized on 22, 23 and 24th December 2023 and the organizers are planning to get it inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
The conference will be organized after a gap of 12 years. The last conference was held somewhere in 2011, which registered the participation of 350 banks from across Maharashtra, claimed officials.
Nashik District Urban Cooperative Banks association is the apex body of UCBs in the district. There are around 40 UCBs in Nashik catering to the financial needs of the general public.
