The Sikkim State Cooperative Union organized the 55th Board Meeting in the conference hall of SICUN, Assam Lingzey, in which several items on the agenda were discussed. The proposal for the opening of a market, institutional lodging, homestays, and a computer training facility were the other items on the agenda.
The finalization of territorial constituencies for the election 2024, for the board members from six districts was on the agenda. The list of SICUN members constituency wise was finalized and presented for approval.
Additionally, JCTC has submitted a request to NCUI for approval to offer a Diploma in Tourist Guide program. The National School of Drama rent agreement was also among the items on the agenda that were approved during the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by L. P. Kafley, Chairman SICUN, and Tashi Ongdup Lepcha, Vice Chairman, in the presence of Smt. Anita Maya Rai, H.B. Gurung, Hemant Kr. Dahal and others.
