The newly created organization “National Cooperative PACCS Employees Union”, elected Thakur Jaiveer Singh Chauhan as its first Chairman in New Delhi recently. Chauhan hails from Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh and is a Sahakar Bharati worker.
Delegates from 16 states participated in the decision, where it was felt that when 80% of the people are connected to co-ops in one way or the other, why a co-op union of farmers, laborers, or tribes connected with cooperative societies, should not come into existence.
Participating from across the country included West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura Pradesh, Sikkim Pradesh, Maharashtra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat Pradesh, Delhi, and Uttarakhand etc.
General Secretaries and representatives of these states unanimously elected Chauhan as the first National President of “National Cooperative Employees Federation of India” who hails from Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh.
