According to Millennium post reports, while replying to a question from a BJP legislator in the West Bengal Assembly, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) minister Chandranath Sinha said the state government has set up rural entrepreneurship hub (REH) for further development of small-scale industries in the state through co-operative societies.
According to the minister, these societies are being formed with a minimum of 11 people, who are involved in similar types of work.
Nearly 330 REH co-operative societies and more than 10,000 people are directly and indirectly connected with them, the minister is quoted as saying.
Sinha said these cooperative societies have been brought under a single cluster and the possibility of having another 26 such societies is being examined.
