It was significant that the IFFCO Nano Urea got a special mention in the maiden address of President of India Droupadi Murmu to the joint sitting of both houses of parliament and IFFCO launched a campaign for the farmers to participate in Selfie with Nano Urea, both events coinciding together on Tuesday.
In her address, Murmu said, “Today, while India is encouraging natural farming and its traditional millet crops, we have also developed modern technology like Nano Urea. On the one hand, while we are improving the rural infrastructure for agriculture, on the other hand, we are also empowering the farmers through drone technology and solar power”, she added.
A euphoric IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi lost no time in sharing a part of the speech of Murmu through his twitter wall and wrote, “It’s proud moment for everyone at #IFFCO that today addressing the Parliament, Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu (@rashtrapatibhvn) highlighted #NanoUrea developed in India as the latest new age technologies making our farming & environment better”.
Meanwhile, a competition has been organized on the MyGov website for farmers using IFFCO Nano Urea (Liquid). By participating in this competition farmers can win gifts up to Rs 2500.
