Talking to Indian Cooperative soon after becoming the Chairman of Maharashtra based Adarsh Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha Abhijit Patil emphasized the importance of his credit co-op being taken to newer heights with the latest technology-enabled innovation.
“Our main focus will be on adopting the latest technology in our activities to compete with other players in the market. We will also give door step services to the customers and will add more and more young customers to the society”, Patil added, who is an engineer by profession.
He further added that presently our total business is around Rs 450 crore but we are eying to achieve Rs 500 crore till the end of the current financial year. I have been on the board of the society for seven years and am very much aware of the society’s working style and business activities”.
Talking to the correspondent, Patil didn’t forget to mention the support of other board members who repose faith in him to become the Chairman of the society.
“The society is having a network of 14 branches in 6 districts of Maharashtra and will open two more branches before the end of the current financial year”, Patil informed.
It bears recall that in the elections held on Monday, Patil becomes the Chairman whereas Kailash Jage the Vice-Chairman of the society. Patil and Jage replaced Suresh Patil and Satish Pradhan respectively.
The society recently launched a QR code facility for making payment easier for its users. It is worth mentioning that the society is working hard to cater to the financial needs of street vendors and other small businessmen.
Adarsha Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha was established in 1998 and in a short span of time the society has done well. More than 18k shareholders are associated with the society.
