The future belongs to cooperatives without which the development of villages is not possible, said Valmiki Tripathi, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Federation Ltd., in a seminar organized in the Lucknow University Auditorium,in the closing session of Cooperative Week.
The event was organized by the UP Chapter of Sahakar Bharati in which several leaders were present. Sahakar Bharti organized Co-op Week celebrations in 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Tripathy, who replaced Aditya Yadav as PCF Chairman, was the Chief Guest. He praised the officials of Sahakar Bharti Lucknow and said that Sahakar Bharti is working to connect people with cooperatives at the grassroots level.
Speaking on this occasion Praveen Singh Jadaun said that the spirit of working together with everyone is cooperative. He reminded the audience that Sahakar Bharti is a nationwide organization of RSS in the cooperative sector. Sahakar Bharti is working in every district for the formation of new cooperative societies, he added.
State Organizing Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Singh said that Sahakar Bharti has been entrusted with the responsibility of making Ganga Sahakar village through Namami Gange Yojana by the Government of India. Farmers are being trained in natural farming and organic farming by the members of Sahakar Bharti, he stated.
State Vice President of Sahakar Bharti Uttar Pradesh, Hirendra Kumar Mishra said Sahakar Bharti is working for the development of cooperatives in the state and is helping reopen defunct co-ops.
Chairman of Sahakar Bharati Lucknow, Piyush Kumar Mishra, presiding over the seminar, said that the team of Sahakar Bharati Lucknow has done remarkable work in the national convention of Sahakar Bharati.
Those present in the Seminar included Ashok Kumar Shukla, Contact Head of Sahakar Bharti Uttar Pradesh, JB Sing, SHG Co-Chief Mrs. Anuradha Srivastava, Vimla Tiwari, State Training Cell Chief Jagdish Narayan Bhat, among others.
