Business Standard reports Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had a high-level meeting with officials to discuss ways and means of helping cooperative sugar mills avail loans from banks.
It is worth mentioning that banks are setting too many conditions for getting loans.
Finance Secretary TV Somanathan and Financial Services Secretary Sanjay Malhotra with officials from the food and agriculture ministry, attended the meeting.
