Uttar Pradesh-based Jaunpur District Cooperative Bank’s board consists of 14 directors and 11 were earlier elected unopposed and the elections were held for three seats.
In the election, Manju Singh got 13 votes whereas her rival Mala Singh got five votes. From Shahganj, Akhilesh Singh got 13 whereas her rival Sanjay Singh got only one vote. Anil Kumar Singh got 14 votes and his rival Sudhakar Singh bagged 13 votes.
It bears recall that the election process was going on from 22nd November.
