Cooperators across the country greeted Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, on his birthday. Modi turned 71 on Friday. Hoardings at the NCUI headquarters showed NCUI chairman Dileep Sanghani greeting the Prime Minister.
Several other cooperative organizations also celebrated the day in their own ways. Some cooperatives planted saplings at their headquarters.
With the support of ICAR, IFFCO distributed thousands of seed Kits among women farmers and co-ops. Sharing the details through social media, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi MD, “On the occasion of birthday of Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, IFFCO distributed Poshan Vatikas Kits to the women farmers and Anganwadi and cooperatives in Maharashtra in collaboration with Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
In a brief message Kribhco President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said” Cooperative sector looks up to the Prime Minister with great hope; may God give him a long life! The Indian cooperative movement wishes him all the best on his birthday.”
GCMMF’s MD Mr R S Sodhi also greeted the prime minister on his birthday. Sodhi said “India looks at him with lots of optimism and Amul wishes him a very happy birthday. May God give him strength to transform India from a developing nation into a developed nation!”
Gujarat State Cooperative Union President G H Amin planted trees on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday and posted his wishes on social media.
Besides, hundreds of delegates who had assembled to attend the agri cooperative Nafed’s Annual General
Dudhsagar Dairy’s officials and employees planted trees at the cooling center in Bikaner. There are reports about Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also participating in a meeting held at the auditorium of Rampur District Cooperative Bank in Uttar Pradesh to greet the prime minister on his birthday. On the occasion, Naqvi felicitated farmers and others.
Several other cooperators including Ashok Thakur of Nafed took to social media wishing the Prime Minister.
Modi was born on September 17, 1950 to a family of grocers in Vadnagar, Mehsana district in Gujarat. He is the 15th Prime Minister of India. It is remarkable that India crossed the two-crore Covid vaccination mark in a day on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
