Tirhut Vegetable Processing and Marketing Cooperative Union (TVPMCU), active in north western Bihar will be allotted land in East Champaran as well to start a processing unit, reports HT.
TVPMCU sold vegetables worth Rs 24 crore during the two phases of pandemic while enabling farmers to make profits. Officials say necessary formalities related to the transfer of land for the processing unit in East Champaran district will soon be completed.
Sources watching the cooperative scene in Bihar predict a bright future for the cooperative efforts in this segment.
