On Thursday Nafed opened its first grocery store ‘Nafed Bazaar’ in Gurugram and said it would open 200 more stores under the franchise model by the end of this fiscal, read a press release sent by Nafed.
The store was inaugurated by Nafed Chairman Bijender Singh. Chandra Pal Singh, Chairman Kribhco, who is also a Nafed Board member accompanied Singh, among others.
Nafed has more than 20 grocery stores and this is the first store in Gurugram in collaboration with a Uttrakhand based women cooperative.
Later, Nafed tweeted “NAFED BAZAAR OUTLET OPENS AT PRIME LOCATION IN SECTOR 70 GURUGRAM, Haryana”.
Earlier, in an interview given to Indian Cooperative Nafed MD Sanjeev Chadha had said that Nafed intends to open 200 such stores across the nation.
