Shaken by the foundation due to the untimely demise of its heroes, co-op sector remembered each of them – V R Patel, Dr G N Saxena and Pramod Kumar Singh throughout the day on Monday. Tributes and condolences kept pouring to Indian Cooperative desk as well.
Besides co-operators, Uttarakhand Ex CM Harish Rawat also expressed his shock at the death of Pramod Kumar Singh. Among co-operators, there were hardly any who were not shocked by his untimely demise.
Expressing his shock NCUI President Dileep Sanghani tweeted, “Saddened by the sad demise of Sh. Pramod Kumar Singh, Director, IFFCO and senior cooperator. He was also Director with my at @ncuicoop. A noble, person who contributed in growth & development of coops in India. May god rest his soul in peace & strength to family. Om Shanti”.
Remembering Pramod Kumar Singh, Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said that the loss of a personality like Singh cannot be repaired easily. He was associated with NCUI for a number of years and was on the board of governing council. His vast experiences benefitted the entire cooperative movement in the country.
Gujarat State Cooperative Union Chairman and NCUI former Chairman G H Amin said, Very shocking and sad news about Pramod Kumar Ji.. praying for the departed soul. It is an irreparable loss to the co-op moment.
There were several other co-operators who took the social media for offering their tributes to Singh. Co-operators remember him as soft-spoken, humble, and the one who always helped those in need.
IFFCO MD who was very fond of Pramod Singh was one of the first to express his shock in these words “Saddened & shocked by the sad demise of Sh. Pramod Kumar Singh, Director, IFFCO. He was one of the eminent cooperators & contributed a lot in growth & development of coops in India. May his soul rest in peace & God bestow enough strength to family to bear the loss. Om Shanti!”
Pramod Kumar Singh died of Covid-19 in the early hours of Monday (today). He was 61. Singh died at Max Hospital in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago after testing positive for Covid-19.
