Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has organized its 60th Annual General Meeting in Lucknow on Friday which was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary Cooperative M V S Rami Reddy.
Addressing the delegates, Reddy said cooperative banks are playing an important role in doubling the income of farmers as well as making India “Self-reliant”.
The Bank’s CEO Bhupendra Singh Vishnoi said, ”we have set the target to give crop loans worth Rs 10,000 to the farmers this year. A committee has been formed under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank at the top level of District Cooperative Bank for payment of value to all cooperative sugar mills of the state.
“The bank is also making all efforts to grab the new technologies. We are in the process of providing digital, mobile and net banking facilities which help our customers to make the entire transaction easy”, he said.
Besides, on the occasion the Youtube Channel of Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative was also unveiled.
Earlier, talking to Indian Cooperative the bank MD said, “Our deposit base increased from Rs 5,940 crore to Rs 7,379 crore whereas loans and advances rose from Rs 6,254 crore to Rs 8,115 crore as on 31st March 2020. The total business of the bank spiked from Rs 12,194 crore to Rs 15,494 crore”, added Vishnoi.
