Media reports say depositors and account holders of PMC bank have threatened to go on an indefinite strike and gherao the RBI headquarters if the government further continued the moratorium on the withdrawal limit of Rs 1 lakh which would end on 22nd December.
The threat of an indefinite strike was made while nearly 100 depositors were holding a protest at Azad Maidan.
Depositors are also angry about the fact that while the govt could solve the problems faced by some crisis hit banks in a few days, they are yet to show the same seriousness in resolving their crisis, a depositor was quoted saying.
Let the government declare that all cooperative banks are risky and advise public not to trust these banks. Let RBI also provide clear investment grades( like we have one companies). Grading should be done for all banks including public sector banks.
Poor, innocent, gullible depositors who trust RBI inspection rating are easily taken for a ride.
Honourable PM should intervene to save the depositors, others have paid only lip sympathy so far from government side.
Respected Prime Minister Modi jee,
It would be appreciated if you could personally look inti Punjab Maharashtra Bank issue and instruct RBI to relieve pain and suffering of accoint holders. You have been caring for people and have power given by people to secure them and their livelyhood. Today we all are suffering at the hands of RBI and some of Scamsters, who are trying hard to prevent people to access their own money deposited in PMC Bank for last 14 months. In your Raj how can you be ignorant on this issue.
Please help poor account holders to get their money back from PMC Coop. Bank.
You are our last hope.
Best Regards,
Sunil Malhotra
