Uttarakhand based Chamoli District Cooperative Bank has opened its branch at Mana village which is said to be the last Indian village close to the Chinese border last week. The State Cooperative Minister Dhan Singh Rawat and Nabard Chairman Dr. G R Chintala jointly inaugurated the new branch.
On the occasion the minister said soon the ATM will also be installed in the branch. Besides inaugurating the branch, the minister also distributed a cheque of Rs 80 lakh of the Deendayal Kisan Kalyan Yojana to self-help groups and tenants.
Dr. GR Chintala, Chairman, NABARD said that NABARD is always ready for the livelihood enhancement of the villagers.
The Bank’s Chairman Gajendra Singh Rawat and Badrinath MLA Mahendra Bhatt also shared their views. BJP District President Raghuveer Singh Bisht, Nanda Devi Women Public Welfare Committee Secretary Dr. Kiran Purohit and others were present on the occasion.
