Indian Express reports the Gujarat government will offer financial help to the tune of Rs 150 crore to milk cooperatives in the state to help them export milk powder.
The government will pay Rs 50 for every kilogram of milk powder exported by the cooperatives that have a huge stock of 90,000 metric tonnes.
This stock is worth Rs 1,850 crore. GCMMF’s officials and the milk cooperative unions had met the state chief minister in this connection.
