The Tribune reports a fraud involving crores of rupees has broken in a multipurpose agriculture society in Adampur, Punjab.
The secretary and salesman of the society and an audit inspector have been arrested in this connection.
The fraud had been going on since 2010. Sources connected to the cooperative dept say loans involving Rs 6.5 crore and Rs 2 crore were given in violation of the norms.
