Vijay Rupani the Chief Minister of the state once again visited the house of Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti and participated in the kite festival with him and his family. There were other old friends also, remarked Mehta.
Rupani has been following this unbroken tradition of meeting the family of his old friend Jyotindra Mehta for the last 39 years.
Talking about CM’s visit Mehta wrote on Facebook “Keeping the tradition alive of Reunion on Kite festival without break for 39 years! Close friends had a great time with Hon. Chief Minister”.
Cooperators across the nation have welcomed Indian Calendar’s New Year and celebrated Makar Sankranti with gusto.
Dr U S Awasthi Managing Director of IFFCO posted a tweet in Hindi and said “I convey my greetings on the occasion of Makar Sankranti to all. Hope this festival brings happiness and joy in everyone’s life. Especially all farmers and cooperative brothers can achieve immense success in their lives”.
On this occasion Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also conveyed his greetings to the nation. He wrote, “Hearty greetings to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti”.
