Indian Express reports the Cooperative Department in Kerala has asked joint registrars and joint directors in all districts to find out if cooperative societies, banks and other institutions have put internal complaints committees in place to rule out the possibility of sexual harassment at workplaces.
Indian Express quotes a report saying 15,000 cooperative bodies in Kerala are without internal complaints committees.
While the cooperative dept claims it has sent a directive to this effect to all cooperative bodies, cooperative union leaders have denied having any information in this connection.
