Sikkim Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Limited vice-chairman, Mangal Jit Rai has come up trumps getting once again elected as the chairman of National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India (NCDFI) recently at Anand in Gujarat, reports Northeast Now.
He is the first Sikkimese to chair the NCDFI for two terms in a row.
The newly appointed chairman said he was determined to solve problems facing farmers in Sikkim and in the rest of the country.
The NCDFI has around 163 lakhs farmer members, 1.66 lakhs milk cooperative societies and 26 state milk federations under its control.
