The apex body of fishery cooperatives Fishcopfed organized Swachhta Pakhwada in collaboration with National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad and Ministry of Agriculture at CR Park fish market in south Delhi last week.
The cleanliness drive was inaugurated by G. N. Singh, JS (admin), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare who desired Fishcopfed to take up the drive all over India.
In a WhatsApp message sent to Indian Cooperative by Fishcopfed MD B K Mishra wrote, “Our swachhta program is the vision of our Honorable PM. We took up cleaning work at Chittaranjan park market and organized awareness camp for fish cutters. Kits and hygiene guidelines books were supplied to each fish shop”, it further reads.
“Fishcopfed Chairman Prasad Dora and MD coordinated the program in the presence of senior officials of the Ministry and FISHCOPFED. The locals appreciated the cleanliness drive. FISHCOPFED has been funded by the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) to organize seven programs during the Swachata period till 31st December 2018 in different fish markets of Delhi”, he claimed in a message.
