New Indian Express reports Vigilance officials recently arrested the secretary of Dandipur co-operative society Sudarsan Sahu on charges of demanding bribe from Debasis Muduli working as Data Entry Operator in the society for making his job permanent.
Following the accused’s arrest the anti-corruption sleuths raided Sahu’s residence at Balanga. The vigilance police confirmed that a case has also been registered against Sahu.
Sources familiar with the cooperative world say bribery is widely rampant across cooperative bodies in Odisha.
