IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi is on a tour of Jordon, visiting JIFCO as well as JPMC office along with its Chairman His Excellency Dr Mohammad K Thneibat. JIFCO counts the largest producer of phosphoric acid complex in the world.
Sharing the details of the visit Awasthi wrote “Today, I visited the #JIFCO Plant in #Jordan along with His Excellency Dr. Mohammad K Thneibat, Chairman #JPMC and Chairman #JIFCO.”
MD also went to JPMC Office at Aqaba in Jordan and was touched by the warm welcome accorded to him by the officials there. He interacted with engineers of JPMC and shared ideas, his tweets reveal.
It bears recall that the fertilizer giant IFFCO has one of the successful overseas ventures in JIFCO which was inaugurated by then President of India Pranav Mukherjee and King Abdulla of Jordan in 2015.
The success of JIFCO is a living example of a thriving relationship between the two countries. It is helping in good bilateral trade between the two nations; it is also one of the strongest technical Joint Ventures in Jordan by IFFCO.
Consistently doing well, JIFCO usually crosses over 100% monthly production target.
It bears recall that Awasthi was perhaps the only leader from the cooperative sector to have been invited to Presidential banquet hosted by President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind in the honour of King Abdullah of Jordan Mr Al Hussein during his visit to India in March this year. “That is the power of co-operative”, quipped an IFFCO Director.
