The apex body of co-op banks in the country NAFSCOB held its meeting in Agartala in the north eastern India. The meeting was presided by Nafscob Chairman Dileep Sanghani.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Nafscob holds its Board meetings at various locations to keep in touch with the ground realities, said an official.
Ramesh Chaubey, the Chairman of Bihar State Co-op Bank and Vice-Chairman of Nafscob was also present. Others present in the meeting included Chandrashekhar Singh, Agartala State Co-op Bank Chairman.
It bears recall that Chauobey had pitched for Vaidyanathan Committee award for the co-op banks earlier in NCUI’s AGM held last week in Delhi. He demanded that Baidyanathan Committee’s award of Rs 25 crore be given to co-op banks.
