Confident of its cold chain and distribution network throughout the country, GCMMF has planned to break into a Rs 1,000-crore frozen snacks market, reports Hindu.
The Gujarat milk cooperative has begun selling several products under the category of ‘Happy Treats’ including frozen potato and paneer snacks through trade and e-commerce platforms.
The cooperative’s Happy Treats also offers snacks such as aloo tikki, french fries, potato wedges and veggie stix, among others.
Underlining GCMMF”s resolve to perform well in the new market segment, GCMMF MD R.S.Sodhi said Amul’s brand value and quality of products will be competitive enough to prevail over other players in the market.
