National Dairy Development Board’s chairman Dilip Rath says NDDB will help cooperative societies shepherd development and growth in the dairy sector, reports PTI. The chairman claimed the board would initiate measures to promote the welfare of milk farmers.
Dilip Rath said apart from Rajasthan, a network of cooperative societies is absolutely necessary in the rest of the country to ensure growth in milk production.
Farmers would be encouraged into taking up activities such as bee-keeping, silage management and manure management to add to their income, Rath informed.
