Nabard has done an excellent job providing a whopping amount of Rs 7,930.67 crore to cooperative banks for crop loans in the last fiscal, reports Indian Express.
A Nabard source is quoted saying Odisha has been one of the biggest beneficiaries under various Nabard schemes.
During 2017-18, Nabard extended financial assistance of Rs 18.24 crore under Warehouse Infrastructure Fund (WIF) for construction of storage godowns in Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS).
Nabard is augmenting resource support to the banks in Odisha and planning to gear up initiatives for enhancement of credit flow with emphasis on disbursement of agricultural term loans, claimed Nabard.
