Keeping pace with the govt aim of digitalizing India, co-operative sector is also slowly but steadily falling in line. Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society with the help of its portal ”co-optex” has decided to sell its products online abroad. Media reports.
It has tied up with DHL and professional couriers to achieve its goal. The portal focuses on diversification and e-commerce to attract customers.
For five years consecutively the portal has been earning a considerable profit domestically especially during festivals. The cooperative offers regional differentiation and experiments with colors and traditional motifs.
Earlier, Fertilizer co-operative IFFCO launched its Indian Cooperative Digital Platform to sell all agri-related products online. The initiative attracted huge response with more than 3 crore farmers getting hooked to it, claims IFFCO sources.
