Under the leadership of State General Secretary of BJP in Uttar Pradesh Mr Vidya Sagar Sonkar a committee has been formed to oversee the elections of cooperative societies in the state.
The job of winning co-op elections and making them free of SP-BSP influences rests on this committee, informed sources confide. The Committee will discuss threadbare the state of affairs prevailing in cooperative societies.
BJP cooperators of the state, meanwhile have got busy holding meetings and powwows to work out their strategy for the upcoming cooperative elections in the state. The elections are due in January, 2018.
One such meeting was recently held in Awadh, UP where a local BJP leader Man Singh was the chief guest. While addressing the meeting, he said “Most of cooperative societies in the state are controlled by leaders of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party. We will try our best to defeat these people and make cooperatives once again useful for the farmers”.
