Initiated by a Dubai based entrepreneur in association with National Federation of Tourism and Transport Co-operatives of India, “Experience Bharat” was inaugurated last week at the NCUI complex in the presence of a mixed crowd from cooperatives to Bollywood.
The campaign which aims to position Indian Tourism as the numero-uno destination across the world also claim to offer more than a million jobs through increased tourism inflow, destination development and related skill-set development initiatives.
The event brought the requisite stakeholders onboard to discuss the challenges faced by Indian tourism along with the route map to overcome them, read a press release mailed by the organizers.
“We support this campaign as it is a win win situation for all the stakeholders; it promises to come up with a road-map which would be able to overcome the existing tourism challenges”, said Amod Sharma, Director-Air India, who is also serving as Senior Advisor on the board for Experience Bharat.
“Film tourism has always been instrumental in promoting Tourism assets of the nation, Experience Bharat gives a 360 degrees perspective to the overall mission” , claimed Sandeep Marwah of Noida Film City who has recently joined co-operatives to grow and help others grow.

“My aim is to promote tourism in Maharashtra by seeking private investors to invest in unexplored destinations which will boost the market of tourism”, underlined Ms Mahima Hora, State Ambassador representing Experience Bharat on global scale, read the release.
Several ministry representatives, bureaucrats, industrialists, Senior Cooperative officials, and chambers came together to unveil the first look of Experience Bharat magazine, according to release.
A pilot project was earlier launched in 2014 in alliance with the local authorities to develop Manila, a mountain hamlet located in Uttaranchal. The study has been successful, claimed the press release.
