IFFCO Sahakarita Ratna awardee and President of Sahakar Bharati Jyothindrabhai Mehta inaugurated the Rajkot office of Karnataka based Chocolate cooperative CAMPCO on Sunday. The arecanut cooperative aims to expand its footprint area in Gujarat through this office, reads a press release from the cooperative body.
Lauding Campco’s role in bringing in prosperity into the lives of lakhs of growers of Arecanut and Cocoa, Mehta hoped CAMPCO would supply quality Arecanuts to the Gujarat market also.
Mehta also admired CAMPCO as a Cooperative which pays 100% tax to the govt and yet fulfills the objective of safe-guarding the interest of its grower members. A popular cooperative figure of Rajkot Mehta called upon all to lend support to Campco in the state of Gujarat.
Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank chairman Nalin Bhai Vasa who was the Chief Guest also wished all the success to the new entrant and hoped it would be able to increase its business through this new sales depot sooner than later.
Presiding over the function S R Satishchandra, President of Campco said ” the cooperative is making sincere efforts in protecting the interest of Arecanut, Cocoa and Rubber growers. Along with maintaining quality our efforts are aimed at fulfilling the expectations of customers”, he said. Satishchandra also thanked Gujarati community for their support.
M Suresh Bhandary, Managing Director-CAMPCO, Shankaranarayana Bhat K, Vice-President-CAMPCO, Suresh C.Kotak, Sales Promotion Agent-Rajkot and Branch Manager, CAMPCO Ltd. Rajkot were also present on the occasion.
