Mixing work with fun the newly elected president of GUJCOMASOL Dileepbhai Sanghani met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi last week. Narendra Modi had invited Sanghani and his family over dinner.
Soon after the meeting, Sanghani posted several photographs with PM Narendra Modi on his face book. Sanghani’s son Manish Sanghani and daughters have also posted photographs on their face book.
Sanghani apprised the Prime Minister of the issues related to cooperative banks and the release of NAFED bail-out package.
Talking to this correspondent Sanghani said “Our meeting lasted more than three hours with the PM and we deliberated on several issues like how to strengthen the cooperative movement and improve the living conditions of the downtrodden with the help of cooperatives.
“Discussions were also held on the development of Gujcomasol and the PM congratulated me for becoming the chairman”, said Sanghani. Nafed also figured in the discussion, added Sanghani who enjoys a unique personal relation with the Prime Minister.
“It is a matter of pride that one of the leading cooperators of the country Sanghani has free-access to the most powerful man in India Narendra Modi in the sense that any future crisis of the co-operative movement could be brought to the attention of the Prime Minister in no time”, say Sanghani’s friends. It augers well for the cooperative movement, they added.
