Telangana irrigation minister has said a law would soon be framed to have more fisheries cooperative societies and some fisheries engineering colleges in the state, reports Hans India.
At a meeting held between representatives of Industrial Fisheries Cooperative societies and the Minister, the former expressed their concerns which include bringing the lease of minor irrigation tanks directly under the fisheries department instead of Sarpanchs, reduction of fee collection and so on.
The minister added whatever returns come through the fish seed supplied by fisheries department, operations and sales expenses would be given to fishermen.
