IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi wound up his trip to Bihar underlining the importance of digital platform for farmers, encouragement to woman cooperators and importance of crop rotation for better results, among other things.
If in Bhagalpur it was R P Singh, IFFCO Director assisting him, it was Smt DP Yadav in Mungyr who participated in his campaign. Lauding the role played by D P Yadav, Awasthi said he was IFFCO’s chairman in the past and his contributions are immense.

Addressing farmers in connection with his ” connect farmers campaign” in Deoghar – a piligrimage center in Jharkhand IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi called upon people to use fertilizers sparingly in their farming and maintain soil fertility. Excessive use of urea harms soil, he said in his speech.

Sharing the details of his visit on Social Media, he wrote “Farmers are ours and we are for the farmers. We have made membership open and easy and all can connect with us. We invite all women to become the members”.
The MD also inaugurated the cooperative exhibition and visited stalls for the farmers organized by the subsidiaries of IFFCO. Before beginning his tour, he visited Baba Baidyanath Dham one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.
In Munger Awasthi stressed on the importance of plantation of neem trees and said “We all should plant a neem tree. IFFCO has undertaken a plant neem tree campaign across the country. .
He began his trip with Patna where he took the city by storm. Later in Muzaffarpur and Purnia he was greeted by a large number of local cooperators as well as simple farmers.
