Due to the sudden demise of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa, Dr U S Awasthi postponed his programmes for Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Earlier, he met farmers and cooperators of Kochi city in Kerala during his 14th Kisan Sahkarita Yatra.
Awasthi wrote in his tweet “IFFCO postpones it’s #50yearsofIFFCO prog proposed in #Chennai & entire #Tamilnadu as of CM, #jayalalithaa’s critical health. #JayaHealth”.
Sharing the details of his visit, Awasthi posted scores of tweets on his twitter wall “It’s always great to meet #cooperators & share thoughts with them. #Kerala picking up good #Cooperative strength. #50yearsofIFFCO”.
Speaking to thousands of farmers and cooperators, Awasthi explained the idea of cashless transaction to farmers urging them to connect with digitization.
