Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched IFFCO-MC, a new joint venture between IFFCO and Japanese Company Mistubishi Corporation in UP on Thursday during the 2nd Annual Agri Horti Tech UP, an International Exhibition on Agriculture and Horticulture Technology.
The FB post of cooperative giant showed IFFCO Joint GM Yogendra Kumar explaining the range and merits of IFFCO-MC products to the chief minister.
The programme was attended by several IFFCO officials and a large number of farmers.
The fertiliser cooperative has plans to make the IFFCO-MC products initially available in 10 states, including Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat and to begin with IFFCO is to make these products available through its 25,000 cooperatives across India.
Readers would recall that last year the IFFCO-MC launched 18 generic products in the presence of IFFCO, Chairman, Balvinder Nakai, MD, Dr U S Awasthi, Mitsubishi Corporation, Chairman and Managing Director at its headquarters Delhi.
The IFFCO will hold 51% stake in the company & the rest will be with Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan. The company will manufacture the quality agrochemicals in India.
