By the close of the week on April 8th , National Cooperative Union of India(NCUI), acting Chief Executive bid adieu to the organization in a function attended by President Mr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav. The function was attended by officials of NCUI and NCDC.
In the tussle between Manchanda and NCUI over retirement benefits, she scored partial victory. She wanted to be retired with the rank and pay of chief executives. NCUI argued that since she had never been regularized for the post her demand can not be met.
After many rounds of negotiations aimed at happy departure for Mrs Manchanda, it was decided that she should be compensated financially by increments so that her pension benefits match with that of a regular chief executive. Her demand for the benefits emanating from voluntary retirement were also accepted.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Mishra could not join on 8th April as scheduled. He was kept busy with his current responsibility. He is likely to join now on 13th April.
