As the spat between Director Sanjib Patjoshi and one of the faculty members Chattopadhyay rages unabated, Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President of NCUI has constituted a one man fact-finding committee to go into the matter and submit the report.
Confirming this to Indian Cooperative Chief Executive of NCUI Dr Dinesh said the President has indeed constituted a fact-finding committee as complaints and RTIs filed by Professor Chattopadhaya piled up at the NCUI headquarters.
Chandra Pal who is busy attending parliament as the monsoon session has begun, could not be contacted, though earlier he regretted the incident and talked of keeping the government in the loop before initiating any disciplinary action.
The Pune based VAMNICOM is a prestigious institute of cooperative management and is the pride of the NCUI. It is being headed presently by an IPS officer of the rank of IG Mr Sanjib Patjoshi.
The atmosphere at the premier cooperative training institute worsened with an anonymous letter addressed to a lady staff with a sexually suggestive content. Taking it as his duty Director Mr Patjoshi lodged a complaint with the police. Later, one of the faculty members Mr P Chattopadhyay went to the police station to explain his case as the lady had named him as one of the likely suspects.
The two sides traded charges against each other and the exchange was so abominable as to even rival a dirty Bollywood flick.
While Chattopadhyay felt that Patjoshi exploited her sense of hurt as the lady worked in his department and he pulled her up once or twice for dereliction of duty, Patjoshi argued that nobody could deny the victim’ a right to name anyone she suspected as a probable accused.
