The District deputy registrar of cooperatives , Kolhapur, Maharashtra has ordered an inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the cooperative bank of primary teachers known as Prathamik Shikshak Sahkari Bank, according to a report in Times of India.
The deputy registrar has issued orders using powers granted to him under section 88 of the Maharashtra cooperative societies Act.
Earlier, Bank Bachao Kruti Samiti had filed a series of complaints against irregularities in the bank. It is worth mentioning that the RBI had penalized the bank for serious financial management.
