It is good news for the Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB). The much-talked about cooperative bank has paid dividend to the state government.
According to the Excise and Corporation Minister Damodar Rout, the OSCB has recently presented a cheque of Rs. 23.25 lakh to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat.
The bank has made a profit of Rs 12.64 crore in the financial year.
The bank has history of bitter political fights in the past with one of its former chairman being sent behind the bars. It has also witnessed an attempt by the state govt to wrest control from the cooperative leaders.
