NCUI recently organized a meeting of all the MDs of National Level Federations in New Delhi to decide the nomenclature of the Cooperative week to be organized this year.
The Cooperative week is organised every year coinciding with the birthday of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru from 14th November. The week long celebrations are based on the Nomenclature of each day starting from 14th November, each day signifying a particular area which has significance to cooperative development.
The celebrations provide an opportunity to highlight the achievements of the cooperative sector, and also introspect the working of the sector so as to devise effective strategies. The meeting which was attended by representatives of NAFED,TRIFED, NFLC, FISHCOFED, etc. decided the main theme as following: “Cooperative Model for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth’ The nomenclature of Seven days as decided in the meeting are.

The theme and the nomenclature of the Cooperative Week will be ratified by the meeting of NCUI Governing Council to take place later this month.
