A cooperative spinning mill in Salem in Tamil Nadu is likely to undergo transformation into a dyeing unit or preparing dresses for school children as it has been incurring big losses. Handloom minister S.Sundaraj made this announcement in Salem the other day.
The cooperative spinning unit has not been in function for the last several years.
According to the minister, the spinning mill is still in good condition and therefore easily capable of transformation into a productive industrial unit.
